Hand Quilting
This class consists of two 3 hour sessions that will teach the rocking method of hand quilting, an easy method of trapunto, and different designs for hand stippling. This class is both for beginners and more experienced quilters who want to improve their stitches. The class will include a discussion of batting, marking tools and other supplies that will help to make the hand quilting experience successful.

Supplies Required for Course
14" Quilting Hoop - preferably a good quality wooden hoop
Quilting Needles - Size 10 Betweens (buy a good quality brand)
Needle Threader made for Quilting Needles
A Quilter's Thimble – Bohin thimble with flat top works very well
Natural Color 100 % Cotton Quilting Thread
Small Scissors
A Few Straight Pins or Safety Pins
A Needle for Basting
White or Natural Color Thread for Basting.
Ruler to mark stippling design.
Trapunto Needle - John James is my preference
4-ply acrylic yarn - white (Inexpensive Red Heart works best)
