Supplies Required for Course

Pattern – Shelley’s Bag

Fabric:

Using only ONE fabric – 1 Ύ yards
Using TWO fabrics – 1 Ό yards Main Fabric (front & back side, side pockets, drawstrings, handle and lining)
½ yard Coordinating Fabric (exterior sides and lining pockets)
½ yard heavy weight interfacing (27 inches wide) (i.e., dιcor bond)
2/3 yard fleece/batting (fusible is okay) (45 inches wide)
1/8 yard fusible fleece (45 inches wide)
1 Magnetic snap (may substitute with Velcro)

PREPARATION BEFORE CLASS

1. Trace pattern pieces onto pattern ease. (2 pieces) Please trace all markings onto pattern ease.
2. Following the cutting list, please cut and label all purse pattern pieces.

Pattern #1: Purse Front and Back – Cut as follows:
2 Exterior Front and Back Fabric
2 Heavyweight Interfacing
2 Fleece/Batting
2 Lining Fabric

Pattern #2: Purse Side – Cut as follows:
2 Exterior Side Fabric
2 Fleece/Batting
2 Lining Fabric

Pattern #3 Purse Side POCKET (No Paper Pattern)
Cut Rectangles 7” wide x 6.5” high
4 Exterior Pockets
2 Fleece/Batting

Pattern #4 Drawstring Carrier (No Paper Pattern)
Cut Rectangles 3” wide x 2.5” high
4 Exterior Side Fabric

Pattern #5 Drawstrings (No Paper Pattern) Cut 4 Strips – 2” wide by 20” long

Pattern #6 Interior Pocket Tubes (No Paper Pattern)
Cut 2 Interior Pockets – 11” wide by 10.5” high
(If you would like these pockets to have either
Fusible fleece or Dιcor Bond in them – cut your
Choice (11” wide by 5” high).

Pattern #7 Handles ( No Paper Pattern) Cut one strip – 3.5” wide by 42” long
Fusible Fleece – 2” wide by 42” long
