Fusible Applique

Start with a motif fabric to draw colors from. Learn an easy, fast way to do appliqué by using fusible web. You can make just one block to learn the technique or make more for a table runner or quilt.

Supplies Required for Course

Bring to class;

Machine and accessories
New 80/12 needle
rotary cutter and mat
6 ½ x24 ruler
straight pins
scissors
thread and prewound bobbin to match fabric
pencil for tracing designs
3/8 yard fusible web

Fabrics needed for one technique;

¼ yard motif fabric (fat quarter works well)
3 or more go with fabrics (fat quarters work well)
Fat quarter white to beige fabric for background
¼ yard for binding (long quarter necessary)
16 x 22 inch piece of batting
fat quarter for backing

Fabrics needed for all four classes if making placemats;

3/4 yard motif fabric
1 yard backing fabric
1 yard go-with fabric for binding and strips
½ yard each 3 other go-withs
1 yard batting or 4 pieces at least 16 x 22
