Customized Bali Pop Table Runner and 8 Placemats

Make this oversized table runner and eight placemats from just one 40 strip package of Balipops and a coordinating background fabric. Too many placemats? Table runner too big? This pattern is easily adjusted to customize your sets as you prefer. With a few quick tips, these projects will go together quickly and accurately. This class is a fundraiser for Lollypop Farm Humane Society and is a tax deductible charitable contribution. Thank you for helping the animals at Lollypop!

Supplies Required for Course

Basic sewing supplies. (machine, scissors, pins, etc)
Masking tape
18" x 24" cutting mat
Rotary cutter
18" by 5 or 6" ruler
Large setting triangle ruler
505 basting spray
optional: spray starch

1 40 strip package bali pops, or 40, 2 1/2 strips x width of fabric, 20 light and 20 dark
1 3/8 yards background
1 1/4 yards for binding
2 1/8 yards for backing
twin sized bat

Each set of 40 strips will make 40 - 7 1/2" blocks. The oversized table runner requires 16 blocks and finishes at approximately 47" by 23". 8 placemats will require 24 blocks (3 blocks per mat) and each will finish at approximately 15" x 18". You may customize the size of your table runner and make it narrower, longer, shorter or square, depending on the size of your table. Remember that you may need to adjust your material requirements accordingly, depending on what you decide.
