Original Art Quilt – Elements of Design
In this class, students will explore what goes into designing an art quilt. The instructor will help the students explore layout (composition) and color, key elements that will run through three exercises. In the first class session, students will use line and layout to create four abstract, achromatic (black and white) designs. After a discussion of basic color theory, the students will work on two to four additional color designs. In the second session, students will add shape to layout and color to prepare an abstract drawing to complete with watercolor. Note: this is a non-sewing class.
