120 Degree Ruler Quilt

One of the relatively new rulers available for quilters is the 120 degree ruler. In this class we will explore it's varied uses, and the construction techniques that go along with it. You can make any one three different projects.

Supplies Required for Course

Tree skirt pattern "Skirting Christmas" for a tree skirt or Sue's Quilt.

"Nova Queen" pattern for a quilt that measures 90x111 with 5 stars. Follow the fabric measurements on the pattern you choose.

For the tree skirt turned into a quilt you will need fabric as follows;
1/2 yard 3 different colors. I used, red, purple and beige in the class sample
3 3/4 yard for background fabric and outer border (mine is floral)
120 degree triangle ruler and information paper it comes with.

Bring to class:

Your pattern of choice, necessary fabric and 120 degree ruler
Sewing machine with new 80/12 sharp needle, plus power cord, foot pedal and 1/4 inch foot if you have one.
Cutting mat at least 18 x 24, 6 1/2 x 24 ruler and sharp cutter
Scissors, straight pins, and seam ripper
Thread to piece with, no darker than your lightest fabric
